Privacy here isn't an add-on — it's built into the architecture. aimy.bio does not process your profile data on any server.

100% local

All calculations run in your browser. Profiles (name, birth date) are stored only locally on your device (localStorage) and are never sent anywhere.

Don’t take our word for it — the engine is open source and makes no network calls; read it yourself on GitHub.

aimy also keeps a few playful usage counters (time in the app, taps, opens, matches) and any profile photos you add — all only in your browser, never on a server. Profile photos are re-encoded on your device, which strips embedded metadata such as location. Clear them anytime by clearing the site's data or using „Clear stats" in the app.

What we don't do

There are no online accounts, no database, no cookies. We don't store your profiles or personal data on the server — it only delivers the site files.

Optional anonymous research

The one exception to the above is entirely optional and off by default. If you switch on the research diary and then separately opt in to share, the app sends only anonymous statistical coefficients (rounded per-cycle correlations and a coarse day-count) to research.aimy.bio — never your birth date, never your daily ratings, never any identifier, and your IP address is not logged. The numbers are computed on your own device and cannot be tied back to you, so we treat it as anonymous data. It is separate from the diary, you can turn it off at any time, and because each submission is anonymous a single one cannot be individually withdrawn. Adults only.

Personal data and GDPR

Because your name and birth date never leave your device, we do not process your profile data within the meaning of the GDPR. It stays entirely in your hands — you can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser or removing profiles in the app.

Providers

The site is delivered by our hosting (dhosting, Poland/EU) and a CDN (Cloudflare, USA — under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). Like any website, their servers may briefly log your IP address to deliver pages and prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); we do not use it to identify you.

Analytics (Plausible)

The only thing we measure is anonymous visit statistics on our own server (Plausible). No cookies, no identifiers, no stored IP addresses — your IP is used only momentarily to count the visit and never stored, so this data cannot be tied to an individual.

History

New edition: previous online accounts have been retired and their data deleted. Profiles now work entirely locally.
